Biography Sue Rule lives with her husband alongside an old Roman road in the Eden Valley in Kent, UK. She is Marketing Director of Software Measurement Services, a consultancy specialising in computer systems management (and advocates of the inverted heirarchy view of management). She is the mother of two entirely brilliant grown-up daughters, mother-in-law of up-and-coming illustrator Ben Scruton, and old enough to want to forget birthdays. She has spent her working life organising other people and her fantasy life re-writing history. This is currently coming to fruition in the creation of the Shaihen Heritage series, a fictional history which has the potential to cover a couple of millenia of love, loss, confusion and adventure. Sue is also a singer and musician, song-writer and performer with folk group Pig’s Ear, (www.pigs-sty.com) who are frequently to be found playing in pubs, clubs and festivals in the South East. She is prime mover in organising the annual Pigs Ear Kentish Horse Folk Ale, a joyous and inclusive celebration of music, song, dance and good ale worthy of a Shaihen festival. and English countryside. Her professional qualifications begin and end with “A” levels in English and History, two subjects for which she still retains a deep fascination. She is a member of local Kent writers group the Write Idea. A love of words started Sue writing and learning the craft, but she is now writing because she believes she has a story to tell. A story that touches other people, entertains and delights, brings a touch of magic into their lives. Sue is available for talks and book signings (or even singings) - to contact her email sa.rule@btinternet.com |
